Dhurandhar movie snatches Eid from Galwan’s Salman Khan; film’s release date announced.
As we all know, the recently talked-about Indian movie Dhurandhar has turned out to be a massive hit. Considering the film’s immense popularity, the makers have announced its second part. According to available information, the next installment Dhurandhar-2 is scheduled to be released on Eid, 19 March.
Looking at the earnings of the first part, it can be estimated that if the second part releases, its opening collection will be at least around ₹70 crore. Reports suggest that, given the overwhelming success of the first film, the makers of other films fear that their movies will not be able to survive against it. If released alongside Dhurandhar-2, those films could turn out to be complete flops, leading to heavy financial losses for their producers.
It is also being said that the upcoming second part of Dhurandhar will be released in all Indian languages. With this strategy, its opening could rise further, reaching anywhere between ₹70 to ₹100 crore.
According to sources, films that were earlier slated to release alongside Dhurandhar have now been postponed. For instance, Salman Khan’s film Battle of Galwan, which was scheduled for release on 19 March, has also been postponed for the time being. Earlier, this was not the case—Salman Khan had been releasing his films on Eid for decades, and they usually turned out to be hits. Unfortunately, this may not happen now.
In front of the storm created by Dhurandhar, all other films seem to be swept away. Recently, Salman Khan celebrated his 60th birthday, and he had high hopes from this film, especially with an Eid release. However, now those hopes appear to be fading because of Dhurandhar.
As of now, there is no confirmation regarding when Battle of Galwan will be released or when audiences will get to watch it.
