In Europe, children were considered an obstacle to the physical pleasures of their parents. Therefore, after giving birth, many children were abandoned on the streets as orphans. Later, an institution was established for such children, which came to be known as a convent, where there was no father figure—only mothers.
In contrast to this cruel and insensitive culture of the British, our country, Bharat (India), has always believed in the philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — meaning “the whole world is one family.”
The British came to India to plunder it; they were the greatest deceivers and exploiters. The British must apologize for their atrocities. There should be a prayer song in schools that says:
“O Bharat, forgive us — we looted you, exploited you, and humiliated your people. We seek forgiveness for the sins of our ancestors, and through this prayer, we attempt to atone for them.”
